That scene in the manga is a lot less obvious that she is bleeding.
And it has a lot more fun, hanging out scenes. It's a pretty short one, and while I personally think the film is better at conveying the main message of the story, the manga has a lot of smaller points as well, and even contains my favourite line. The problem with pointing to chapters here is that it's a plot that is even present in some scenes that are in the movie. Then they cut an entire subplot about them making a movie. Then they cut a short chapter (don't remember the number) about Shouko's dad. They cut a bunch of scenes from the first couple of chapters, showing different parts of Shoya's childhood not necessarily related to his bullying.
